Serbia's Milica Dabovic retires from international competition

Milica Dabovic of the reigning EuroBasket Women winners Serbia has retired from the national team according to FIBA.com.

Dabovic capped a 14-year international career with a bronze medal finish in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, in Serbia's first ever appearance at the games.

She was part of the squad which won the EuroBasket Women title, also a first in Serbian women's basketball history, the year before.

The 34-year-old point guard played her final game in a Serbian uniform in the 2017 EuroBasket Women Qualifiers.

Dabovic started her career for the Serbian national team in the 2003 European Championship. She was also part of the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women squad where she averaged 11.9 PPG.

She has career averages of 9.2 PPG, 2.5 RPG, and 1.8 APG in national team tournaments.
