Hamby expecting first baby, out for remainder of 2016 WNBA season


According to the WNBA website, San Antonio Stars forward Dearica Hamby is pregnant and will miss the rest of the 2016 season.

The 22-year-old sophomore player averaged 9 PPG and 5.1 RPG for the Stars this season, starting in 25 games.

Per the WNBA website:
"“Dearica is a wonderful woman and she has our full support during this exciting time,” said head coach Dan Hughes. “We are thrilled for Dearica and Alonzo as they focus on preparing for the addition to their family.”"
The Stars are currently at the bottom of the league standings with a 6-20 record.
