Curt Miller to assume role as Connecticut Sun GM

Connecticut Sun head coach Curt Miller will soon assume the role of general manager as well, the team announced Friday.

Per the Sun website:
"The Connecticut Sun announced today that Curt Miller will assume the role of general manager and head coach.
“I said from the beginning, I’m going to make mistakes as a young head coach,” said Miller, who was introduced as the head coach of the Connecticut Sun in December. “I’m also going to make some mistakes as a new GM but we’re going to grow together.”"
Miller will succeed Chris Sienko, who announced he will be stepping down as General Manager, COO, Vice President, and Alternate Governor by the end of September.

Miller was hired as head coach of the Sun, succeeding Anne Donovan. He worked one season with the Los Angeles Sparks as an assistant to Brian Agler.

The head coach is trying to lead the Sun to the playoffs in his maiden season. Connecticut is 11-17 in the team standings right now, tied for eighth spot with the Seattle Storm.
