Paul George purchases 5,000 tickets to Tamika Catchings' final WNBA regular season game

To make sure Indiana Fever star Tamika Catchings gets a fitting send-off, Indiana Pacers star Paul George has purchased 5,000 balcony seats to Catchings' final WNBA regular season game on Sunday, September 18.

From the Fever website:
"Indiana Pacers star, Olympic gold medalist and three-time NBA All-Star Paul George has bolstered franchise efforts to honor legendary WNBA star and fellow Olympic gold medalist Tamika Catchings with the purchase of 5,000 balcony seats to Catchings’ final regular season game presented by Hoosier Lottery on Sunday, September 18. Catchings and the Indiana Fever host the Dallas Wings in a regular season finale Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
In an effort to pack the house and cap Catchings’ career with a hopeful sellout crowd, complimentary tickets will be distributed to fans on Friday afternoon at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office. Fans may collect up to a maximum four tickets per person beginning at noon on Friday at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office. Lower Level and Krieg DeVault Club Level tickets also are available for purchase at the Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets."
Fans can claim the free tickets starting at 12 noon on Friday, September 16, per the release.

It was a touching gesture for George, who has always shown appreciation to his fellow Indiana basketball star.

When they won gold medals in the 2016 Rio Olympics, George even posted a photo together with Catchings with the caption "Me and big sis! Love you girl @catchin24 #TheRealReasonIChangedMyNumber #ThereCanOnlyBe1Number24InIndy #HappyToShareThisWithYou #GoldStandard."
