The United States opened its bid for a sixth consecutive gold medal with a record-setting 121-56 win over Senegal. Spain also impressed in opening day, beating Serbia, 65-59 even without Sancho Lyttle. France and Australia, meanwhile, remained undefeated in their group with separate wins.
