Turkey improved its chances of entering the quarter-finals of the games after dealing another heartbreaking defeat to Belarus.

Nevriye Yilmaz powered Turkey's come-from-behind victory with 26 points on 50 percent shooting while Lara Sanders added 22 points on 8-for-14 shooting and 11 rebounds.

Needing a win to boost its chances of advancing, Belarus went on a good start, taking a 19-13 lead. Turkey responded, tying the count at 25 apiece but an 8-2 run behind triples from Lindsey Harding and Maryia Papova gave Belarus a 33-27 lead.

Turkey's frontliners, however, brought the team back in the game. A three from Isil Alben followed by free throws from Sanders gave Turkey a sizable 62-54 cushion in the final quarter, but Belarus never surrendered.
