Kyrie Irving is a Sue Bird fan

Cleveland Cavaliers and United States men's national team guard Kyrie Irving is apparently a big Sue Bird fan.

NBA TV's Kristen Ledlow said in her report during the United States women's basketball team's exhibition game against France that she was able to talk to Irving about the two guards' meeting earlier this week.

Ledlow also noted that Bird was wearing Kyrie Irving shoes during the game and that Irving in fact "fanboyed" upon meeting Bird earlier this week.

As the USA Basketball account tweeted a few days ago, Irving took time to chat with Bird when the Seattle Storm veteran was signing basketballs which shall be given away to fans.

Both Bird and Irving have enjoyed success in the international stage. Bird is a three-time Olympic gold medalist. Irving was part of the gold medal-winning 2014 FIBA World Cup line-up. He also took home MVP honors of that tournament.

Bird later tweeted that she was also a bit starstruck being together with the 2016 NBA champion.
