Teams for 2016-17 EuroLeague Women announced

The teams which shall be competing in the 2016-17 EuroLeague Women season have been announced on Friday.

The EuroLeague Women regular season will feature 16 teams. Fifteen have already been determined, based on their rankings in domestic leagues and positions of their respective national federations in the Eruopean three-year ranking.

The 15 teams are:

UMMC Ekaterinburg (1st ranked RUS)

Fenerbahce SK (1st ranked TUR)

BLMA (1st ranked FRA)

ZVVZ USK Prague (1st ranked CZE)

Uniqa Sopron (1st ranked HUN)

Wisla Can-Pack (1st ranked POL)

CB Avenida (1st ranked ESP)

Famila Schio (1st ranked ITA)

Nadezhda Orenburg (2nd ranked RUS)

Hatay Buyuksehir (2nd ranked TUR)

Tango Bourges Basket (2nd ranked FRA)

CMB Cargo Uni Gyor (2nd ranked HUN)

Dynamo Kursk (3rd ranked RUS)

Mersin Büyüksehir (3rd ranked TUR)

ESBVA-LM (3rd ranked FRA)

CB Conquero (3rd ranked ESP) and CCC Polkowice (4th ranked POL) will dispute the last spot via a home-and-away duel. The higher-ranked CCC Polkowice will host  the return leg.

The draw is set on Monday, June 27 in Germany.
