Here's the open thread for two games scheduled today in the 2016 WNBA regular season.
The Dream recently defeated the Chicago Sky, 87-81 with Angel McCoughtry's 21 points leading the way. Layshia Clarendon and Carla Cortijo combined for 27 points in that win. The Dream will have to continue getting quality production from their backcourt for a solid shot of winning the upcoming match.
In contrast, the Liberty are coming off a 79-72 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Sparks. The Liberty led by eight under the final two minutes, but allowed the Sparks to come back and steal the win.
At 7 p.m. ET, the Sparks hope to sustain their undefeated run against the Sky. The Sparks are 3-0 in the season, picking up wins over the Liberty, Washington Mystics, and Seattle Storm. The Sky will host the match which shall be shown on ESPN 2 and shall feature a match-up between Elena Delle Donne and Candace Parker, the best contemporary forwards in the league today.
