The United States capped its dominant run in the group phase of the 2016 Women's Olympic Basketball Tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with another record-setting win, this time over China. Spain claimed second seed in Group B with a victory over Canada, while first-timer Serbia will also move to the next round after beating Senegal.
Here is the round-up of the final day of the tournament's group phase.
UNITED STATES 105, CHINA 62
The United States completed a sweep of Group B after another lopsided victory over China, the team's eighth Olympic win against the Asian side.
Tina Charles scored 12 of her game high-tying 18 points in the first quarter alone, as USA quickly built a 32-9 lead after 10 minutes.
Charles shot 9-for-13 from the field while Brittney Griner also finished with 18 points and added 13 rebounds. Sylvia Fowles and Seimone Augustus added 13 and 10 points, respectively, with both shooting 5-for-7 from the field.
USA shot 62.2 percent from the field, and assisted 40 of its 46 field goal makes, an Olympic record. All players fielded in scored for the reigning gold medal winners. USA also had 14 steals and a whopping 42-2 lead in fastbreak points.
Only Elena Delle Donne was unable to suit up as she received treatment during the pre-game warm-up.

Sun Mengran led China, which finished 1-4 in the group, with 16 points on 6-for-11 shooting. Lu Wen contributed 14 points on 6-for-9 shooting.
SERBIA 95, SENEGAL 88
First-time Olympian Serbia is moving to the next round after a wire-to-wire victory over Senegal.
From a slim 19-15 lead in the opening quarter, Serbia pulled away using an 8-0 run capped by a basket from Sonja Petrovic.
Serbia took a 27-15 lead after the first period, and maintained hold of the double-digit cushion until the end.
Petrovic topscored with 20 points on an efficient 9-for-13 shooting, four rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Jelena Milovanovic added 18 points while Danielle Page and Ana Dabovic each chipped in 15 points.
Astou Traore led Senegal with 30 points and eight boards, shooting 8-for-11 from the field and a perfect 12-for-12 from the line. Aida Fall contributed 16 points.
Serbia claimed the fourth seed in Group B and shall face powerhouse Australia, which finished Group A with an undefeated slate, in the quarter-finals
SPAIN 73, CANADA 60
In the final game of the group phase, Spain used a 24-13 fourth quarter to defeat Canada and claim the second seed in Group B.
The crucial match was close from the opening tip until the end of the third period, with Spain only carrying a 49-47 advantage to the final quarter.
But a triple from Marta Xargay led to 11 unanswered points from Spain in the first half of the fourth quarter, as the team took a 60-47 lead. Silvia Dominguez and Laura Gil each had four points in the stretch.
It took the Canadians over six minutes before finding a field goal, courtesy of Nirra Fields but Spain already had the victory in the bag.
Alba Torrens led everyone with 20 points on 50 percent shooting, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks. Xargay added 13 points while Anna Cruz scored 10 points.
Fields was the lone double-digit scorer for Canada with 13 points. Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe and Miah-Marie Langlois each added nine for the FIBA Americas winners.
Spain finished with a 4-1 record and shall face Turkey in the quarter-finals. The win was vital for the Europeans as they wouldn't be facing the United States until the gold medal match if both teams progress.
Canada will face France, which the team defeated in exhibition play last month.
