Watch: Catchings, Melo speak to youth in town hall meeting

WNBPA President Tamika Catchings of the Indiana Fever joined NBPA Vice President Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks in a town hall meeting the latter organized earlier this week to discuss social issues.

Catchings and Anthony were in California during that time as part of their stint with the United States' Olympic basketball teams.

Both have been very vocal about their stand on the recent deaths due to gun violence.

In the video, Anthony noted that communication among different sectors is vital in bringing the desired change people want.

Thank you to the young people, the police officers, Team USA & WNBA players who sat down and discussed how we can address the racial tension that is plaguing our country. This is just the beginning of a new chapter of solidarity. #BeTheSo7ution
