Lynx wear 'change starts with us' shirts in game against Wings

Minnesota Lynx members Rebekkah Brunson, Lindsay Whalen, Maya Moore, and Seimone Augustus wore statement shirts during their game against the Dallas Wings last Saturday to protest the recent deaths at the hands of police.

The shirts read "Change Starts With Us" and "Justice And Accountability" in front. At the back were the names Philando Castile and Alton Sterling, two men who were killed by police, the Dallas Police shield, and "Black Lives Matter."

The Lynx won the game, 93-56.

The move triggered four Minneapolis police officers who were assigned to that game to walk out.

The Lynx released a statement afterwards.
Moore said via AP before the game:
"If we take this time to see that this is a human issue and speak out together, we can greatly decrease fear and create change.
Tonight we will be wearing shirts to honor and mourn the losses of precious American citizens and to plea for change in all of us."
