Lyttle expected to miss rest of WNBA season
However, Spain's main center, Lyttle, suffered a foot injury which will likely prevent her from playing in Rio. Lyttle, who also plays for the Atlanta Dream, is expected to be out for the remainder of the WNBA season.
Per Kris Willis of Peachtree Hoops:
"Lyttle left Friday’s game in Indiana with what was called an ankle injury late in the second quarter and did not return. The team announced on Sunday that Lyttle suffered a break of the fifth metatarsal in her right foot. She is out indefinitely and is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season."Lyttle, 32, is an integral part of the Spanish national team's success in the international scene. She averaged 18.2 PPG and 11.5 RPG in the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women where she was also named part of the All-Star Five.
